Excel Invoice Manager - Billing and invoice software for MS Excel
A small to medium business will find Excel Invoice Manager to be quite a useful tool. It's a billing and invoicing software based on Excel invoice templates. When using it, you'll find everything ready to go and all you need to do is fill in the blanks.
You'll have to wait for a 5.81 Mb kit to finish downloading, which isn't much for an average Internet connection. Installing it will take even less time, but you will need to have MS Excel already installed on your computer.
You won't have any problems with this software even if you don't know much about Excel itself. The interface features a ready to go invoice. The cells are already arranged and resized to fit the invoice like a glove. All you need to do is type data like product ID, description, quantity and unit price. There's no need to calculate the total because Excel's sum calculating features will automatically kick in where they are needed.
For general settings or other options you can use the buttons placed right over the invoice. From basic functions, like saving or printing, to more advanced ones, you can access them all from these buttons. There are a few interesting features to be accessed here, like a customers database. Basically, it's a list with customers containing details like ID, category and account balance. Adding, removing or editing customers can be done anytime using the buttons right next to the list. Another button from the main interface lets you access a similar database, but for products.
There are a few other Excel tabs you will find on the bottom side of the window. Besides the invoice, you can access reports for sales, customers, products, payments and others. Just like the invoice, these are already edited in Excel, so you will only need to start filling up those cells. Once you're done, you can print it right away and you don't need to worry about the extra content around the invoice. It won't show up on the print.
Pros:
Excel Invoice Manager's features can be a real time saver. You won't even need to know much about how MS Excel works. Although the application is not free, you can still use the trial version to its full potential.
Cons:
The default template could have looked a little better. Fortunately, you can customize it a bit.
Your workload can be cut in half. With Excel Invoice Manager, professional looking invoices are ready to go. All that's left for you to do is to fill in the blanks.
